What’s the product range for Nissan electric vans?
Right then — here’s the short, useful version. Nissan’s light commercial electric offering centres on the compact van sector. There’s one clear current model, a couple of legacy models you might still see, and not much in the way of large electric vans from Nissan itself.
Current model
- Nissan Townstar E-Tech Electric — This is Nissan’s current compact electric van. It’s aimed at trades, deliveries and small businesses who need a city-ready van with decent range, a practical load area and modern charging ability. It comes in panel-van and crew/combi styles and suits most urban and peri-urban jobs.
Legacy / older models
- e-NV200 — The e-NV200 was Nissan’s earlier electric van. You’ll still see these used or in limited stock. They’re practical for light loads and short routes, but they’re older tech compared with the Townstar.
What you need to know — practical points
- Body types: compact panel van, crew/combi — good for trades and inner-city work.
- Charging: modern Townstar supports AC and rapid DC charging (fast charging on the newer spec), so you can top up on route. Exact speeds depend on spec.
- Range & battery: Townstar uses an LCV-sized battery (roughly in the mid-40kWh area) with practical real-world range for daily urban runs. Older e-NV200s have smaller batteries and shorter range.
- Big vans: Nissan doesn’t currently offer a full-size electric panel van in the same way some rivals do. For larger electric LCVs you’ll often look at Alliance partners or other manufacturers.
